Our Founder CARDINAL ALBERT GREGORY MEYER
Cardinal Albert Gregory Meyer (March 9, 1903 – April 9, 1965) was an American Catholic leader who served as Archbishop of Chicago from 1958 until his death in 1965 and was named a cardinal in 1959. Prior to his time in Chicago, he served as Archbishop of Milwaukee (1953–1958) and Bishop of Superior (1946–1953) in Wisconsin.

Cardinal Meyer was widely respected for his leadership and moral courage. He was a strong advocate for racial justice, a voice for religious tolerance, and a champion of reconciliation between the Catholic Church and the Jewish community.
